Broken Pinky toe help?

How can I tell if I broke my toe? I think I broke it last night when I was running to get a pen and i slammed it into the leg of my coffee table. My friend said she heard a big smack and a crunch. It hurt bad to walk the first couple minutes... It hurt so bad I almost cried... It still hurts now, and it feels stiff and it throbs and when I walk it hurt like holy heck cuz I accidentally wobbled to the side of my bad toe. PLEASE HELP!
