How do I set my Guitar Amp Settings?

Hey, I have a Sidekick Squire Practice Amp and it has a Volume Dial, a O.D/Clean on and Treble and B Dials. I have no idea what to set for the settings, everything I play comes out sounding wierd. I usally play or try to play clic rock or some oldies and such. Also i have a not so good guitar that I use. Its a harmonics, and it has a switch a volume dial and two tone dials on it. I would apreciate and help i could get Thanks!
